Possible Protection for VA Benefits

Last night the Senate and House Appropriations Committees unveiled their Omnibus Appropriations spending agreement for fiscal year 2015, and the DAV is very pleased to let you know that it was successful in getting them to include a provision to protect veterans benefits from future government shutdowns or budget stalemates.

If this bill is approved by Congress and signed by the President as expected later this week, veterans, their families and survivors will have new assurance that mandatory VA benefits will be paid on time.
