USS Bennington

My name is Joseph Pires and I'm a Board of Directors Member for the USS Bennington Association and its Historian.  I was a 3rd class Storekeeper during my time aboard this great lady of the Atlantic & Pacific.  I served aboard BENNINGTON from 1965-1969.

My email ... is to try and confirm once and for all that BENNINGTON did in fact carry "nukes" of some type during the 50's & the 60's during her deployments.  I've heard many stories but was hoping that you fine folks would be able to confirm for me and my organization, as to the truth of the matter.....  Also, if you have knowledge of members within your organization that served aboard please inform them of our website at:  www.uss-bennington.org  Joseph Piers - ...kpires@uss-bennington.org ....2/28/2010
